HIEROGLYPHIC

BACKGROUND

This personal project reimagines self-tracking data as art. Inspired by Stefanie Posavec and Giorgia Lupi’s Dear Data, I visualized my daily activities across a week through a hieroglyphic-inspired infographic, connecting modern data storytelling with ancient visual language.

WHAT I DID

I recorded hourly activities over seven days and translated them into symbols representing recurring patterns—sleep, design, learning, and movement. Each column represented a day; each row, two hours. I meticulously plotted every activity to form a hieroglyphic composition blending structure, rhythm, and color. The creative challenge was to turn raw personal data into a poetic visual diary.

RESULT

The outcome was a data-art poster where logic met beauty—offering a meditative, minimalist look into routine through pattern and color. It demonstrated how storytelling and design thinking can make even ordinary data visually emotional and human. The experiment deepened my approach to information design and visual semiotics.
